4. Age and Health Requirements
-
Dogs must be at least three months old to enrol in daycare.
-
Puppies must have completed their final vaccinations before attending.
-
Dogs over seven months old must be neutered or spayed. If not, owners accept all risks and GC Dog Co reserves the right to keep un-desexed dogs separated, as needed.
-
Proof of C5 vaccination (or a valid titre test) is required upon enrolment and annually thereafter.
-
Dogs must be on a lead when entering and exiting our facility.
-
Owners must inform staff if their dog has been unwell in the past 30 days; a veterinary clearance may be required.
5. Behavioural Considerations
-
Owners must disclose any known aggressive or behavioural issues prior to enrolment.
-
Any newly developed behavioural concerns must be reported.
-
All dogs must undergo a trial day to assess suitability for daycare and this is provided at no cost to the owners.
6. Facility Environment
-
GC Dog Co operates a cage-free environment. While we prioritise safety, risks such as minor injuries or communicable illnesses may occur.
-
Corrective behavioural techniques may be used to maintain a safe and controlled setting.
7. Responsibilities and Agreements
-
Owners are responsible for any damage, loss, or harm caused by their dog while attending daycare.
-
In case of illness or emergency where owners cannot be contacted, veterinary care will be sought at the owner's expense.
-
Owners agree to comply with all daycare policies outlined in this agreement.
GROOMING TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Grooming Appointments
-
All grooming appointments must be pre-booked. Walk-ins may be accommodated based on availability.
-
Owners must arrive on time for their scheduled appointment. Late arrivals may result in rescheduling or a reduced service.
-
A minimum of 24-hour notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling; failure to provide notice will incur a cancellation fee equal to the full service cost.
-
Pickup Time: Dogs must be collected between 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm. A surcharge of $10 per 10-minute increment applies for late pickups.
2. Health & Safety Requirements
-
Proof of C5 vaccination (or a valid titre test) is required to receive grooming services and will be requested upon first attendance and provision is expected annually thereafter.
-
Dogs must be on a lead when entering and exiting our facility.
-
Owners must inform staff if their dog has been unwell in the past 30 days; a veterinary clearance may be required.
-
If a dog is found to have fleas, ticks, or other parasites, additional treatment fees will apply, or the appointment may be rescheduled.
-
Owners must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or sensitivities their dog may have before the grooming session.
3. Grooming Risks & Owner Responsibility
-
While all care is taken, there is always a risk of minor cuts, nicks, or skin irritations due to matting, sensitive skin, or sudden movements.
-
If a dog's coat is excessively matted, de-matting may cause discomfort. Owners accept that shaving may be the only humane option.
-
GC Dog Co is not responsible for any adverse reactions to grooming products or services if prior conditions were not disclosed.
4. Behavioural Considerations
-
If a dog exhibits extreme aggression or distress, the grooming session may be halted, and owners will still be charged for the time spent.
-
A muzzle may be used if necessary for safety.
5. Liability & Emergency Care
-
GC Dog Co will take every precaution to ensure the well-being of dogs during grooming, but owners accept that minor injuries may occur.
-
In case of a medical emergency, veterinary care will be sought at the owner's expense.
